First day of Winter

Today is the first day of winter in Australia!

Of course I was inspired to bake a fresh loaf of sourdough bread. This loaf had a hint of honey and it was so delicious warm out of the oven with some butter!

The first half if the year has been a whirlwind experience. Highs and lows all round.

Some highlights are:

  • I got a new job, it’s been very exciting and I’ve loved going into work for every shift

  • Isabelle is growing so fast, so many words now. She walks with such purpose and is so inquisitive

  • Back at uni to finish my Master of Women’s Health Medicine

  • Went to Hamilton Island with family

  • Celebrated my second Mothers Day!

A cozy visit to a local boutique - house blend teas, candles and scents.


The lows:

  • Ongoing issues with my birth injury, hoping it will all be behind me soon.

  • With increased working I haven’t been as mindful with meal prepping and budgeting!


My vision for the next 6 months

Goals to reassess over the next 6 months:

  • Get back into meal prepping on the weekend

  • More meaningful and mindful activities as a family

  • Finish this Masters

  • Save 10k

  • Get this surgery done and the healing started
